Two to debut as Titans name team for Broncos derby

The Gold Coast Titans will welcome players #173 and #174 to the club, with two fresh faces to make their debut in Saturday's local derby against the Brisbane Broncos.

Sosefo (Jojo) Fifita will make his NRL and club debut when he lines up on the wing in front of a home crowd at Cbus Super Stadium.

The 19-year-old, in just his second year with the Titans, has forced his way into Justin Holbrook's side after a string of strong performances for Tweed Seagulls in the Hostplus Cup.

Aaron Booth will also make his club debut, named at hooker for the local derby clash.

The 26-year-old has six NRL games under his belt, but this will be his first as a Titan after moving to the Gold Coast from the Melbourne Storm in the off-season.

Phil Sami is another big inclusion, with the versatile outside back named at centre.

Sami was one of the Titans best players over the early rounds of 2022, before injury ruled him out for almost two months.

Corey Thompson will also return from injury on the wing, while Erin Clark will move to the bench. Tanah Boyd will partner Toby Sexton in the halves, with AJ Brimson again named at fullback.

Captain Tino Fa'asuamaleaui has been named at lock and is expected to line up after playing in Wednesday's State of Origin decider for Queensland in Brisbane.
