Judiciary update: Tino given green light for derby despite charges

Gold Coast Titans captain Tino Fa'asuamaleaui is free to back-up and play in this Saturday's Macca's Local Derby against the Broncos despite being charged by the match review committee following the Origin decider.

Being placed on report in the ninth minute, the inspirational skipper received a Grade 2 Careless High Tackle for the contact on Matt Burton, and received a further charge (Grade 1 Dangerous Contact) for his involvement in the 41st minute melee.

But despite those two charges, he has been given the green light to return on Saturday night should he elect to take the early guilty plea, which will see him fined a combined 20 percent of his Origin match fee.

On Thursday afternoon, Fa'asuamaleaui opted to take the early plea for both charges.

Be there for the next instalment as the rivalry re-ignites at Cbus Super Stadium this Saturday, July 16. Secure your seat today!
