'Mad Dash' ends in protest controversy

What did your Dad always tell you as a kid playing footy? Put the ball down first, celebrate second.

Well, for one Titans fan this nearly cost them $500 at the last home game, as the TopSport 'Mad Dash' was thrown into controversy.

There was no live bunker on ground for the half-time race and when the official in charge awarded the win to runaway leader, Ryan, it looked like a clear win, but on further protest and review 'Dad's advice' came back to prove very valuable.

Ash, in a story reminiscent to the Tortoise and Hare, had in fact stolen victory from Ryan at the last second and he had video evidence to prove it.

Now this where this story takes a happy turn.

TopSport, having reviewed the footage (and subsequently sacked the official in charge) - decided to come to the party and invoke their 'Protest Payout' promotion - that is normally reserved for Horse Racing - and award both competitors the $500 cash prize!

TopSport Mad Dash Protest Payout

As the countries' fairest bookmaker it was no surprise and has left all walking away happy - except maybe the official, who may now be judging cockroach races at his local pub.
