Happier Holbrook switches attention to downing Dragons

"I got home and the dogs were wagging their tails at me," Justin Holbrook laughs when asked what was different after getting a win on the weekend.

"I think they just saw the smile on my face when I walked into the house so they came up to me rather than running away."

The Titans snapped a losing streak with a dominant performance against the Manly Sea Eagles at Cbus Super Stadium, but the Gold Coast coach says he knows that result has been quickly forgotten as the focus turns to the Dragons.

"It was good earlier in the week to finally get a win but by now that's forgotten about and we move on to this week," he said.

"It's been a tough time but it would be nice to get on a bit of a roll now.

"I thought we played some really good footy and defended well for large periods.

"I thought it was coming for a few weeks ... we had some near misses with our tries, whereas on the weekend were hanging on to those balls.

Jolliffe clings on to open scoring

"It helps with confidence, but it is only one win."

The Titans head to Wollongong to play the Dragons having won their previous clash, a golden point encounter in Magic Round back in round 10.

Inch-perfect Isaako try wins it

"I'd be happy with the same result," Holbrook said.

"Their (Dragons) main threat is Ben Hunt and he is playing fantastic.

"They're competing hard and they came close last week ... for us it is around how we play and I was really happy with last week but it about doing that again."

Tanah Boyd will again partner AJ Brimson in the halves and the coach says the young playmaker is starting to show the fruits of his development.

"I think with Tanah he is a couple of years in now playing NRL," he said.

"He was a bit frantic coming through and I think the time at #9 has calmed him down.

"He's playing a lot tougher as well defensively which is good.

"I think now he is maturing a bit he is a lot calmer in those key positions."

Brian Kelly is in doubt for the match, with Holbrook confirming that he is being managed.

"He's got a bit of a knee injury, so I'm not sure .. he could be in doubt.

"We've got Greggy Marzhew there as well, so I'd likely bring him in."
