Treymain Spry was in full flight for the Tweed Seagulls in their 42-0 domination of the Townsville Blackhawks on Saturday, scoring a distinguished double in his third Hostplus Cup appearance of the season.

One of five Titans in action at Piggabeen - including Toby Sexton who returned to reserve grade with a four-pointer in only the second minute - the win sets the Seagulls up for a potential top four finish and two bites at the cherry should they get the win against the Tigers in next weekend's final regular round of the season.

It's an incredible feat that Spry has returned to one step below first grade this year after an off-field incident left the young gun with a fractured skull, broken eye socket and bleeding on the brain.

Coming up five tackle breaks and two line breaks in the contest, the 22-year-old will prove to be a handful in the coming weeks as the Seagulls qualify for back-to-back finals series.

It's been a tough few weeks for the Burleigh Bears, losing their fourth game of the season against Papua New Guinea, going down 32-24 in Round 19.

A challenging period for the ladder leaders recently due to injury, Tony Francis was a bright spark in the contest, scoring another two tries to notch up 12 four-pointers for the season.

They'll take on Wynnum Manly in their final game of the season at Pizzey Park, destined to claim the minor premiership unless a huge result goes against the Bears.
