Late mail: Kiwi International one of five debutants with Origin star ruled out

New recruit Roxy Murdoch will join Apii Nicholls, Madison Bartlett, Lauren Brown and Rona Peters as club debutants for today's season opener as the Gold Coast Titans face off against the St George Illawarra Dragons.

The Kiwi International comes in for Tazmin Gray, who has failed to overcome an ankle injury that she sustained earlier this week, shifting Tiana Raftstrand-Smith to the starting edge forward role, with Murdoch to join the bench in her first game wearing Titans colours.

Joining her on the pine will be legendary prop Steph Hancock, who will come on as a much-valued impact player after being named to start earlier this week - Peters to take her place in the starting 13.

The remainder of the side is as per program with Jetaya Faifua the 18th player for the clash in Wollongong.

New Titans mentor Karyn Murphy will also make her NRLW debut as a coach after 15 years as a player, that included four World Cup campaigns, 27 games for Australia and 20 games for Queensland.

Kick-off is at 12pm, live on Fox League and Kayo.
