While AJ Brimson was helping the Titans to a thrilling victory in New Zealand, his older brother Will was doing much the same for Gold Coast affiliate club Tweed.
Knocking over the Brisbane Tigers 24-18 in the Hostplus Cup's first elimination final at Piggabeen on Saturday, the talented five-eighth scored two tries and played a big part in his side's progression to week two of the finals series after a scintillating performance for the Seagulls.
Fellow Titan Jamayne Isaako also showed his big game experience, bagging a try, breaking the line on three occasions and running for 193 metres in the contest.
They'll next face the Sunshine Coast in this weekend's semi-final.
It was an agonising defeat for the Burleigh Bears in their qualifying final, going down 20-19 in the final minutes of their contest against the Norths Devils.
However, they do get a second chance and will face the Central Queensland Capras at Pizzey Park in the other semi-final this weekend.
