Post-season update: Four players undergo surgery

In readiness for the upcoming 2023 season, five Gold Coast Titans will work especially hard in the off-season to get themselves right for the new campaign.

Four players in particular have off-season surgery planned.

See below for the list of players and the procedures they have undergone / will undergo ahead of returning to Parkwood to prepare for the new year ahead.

Aaron Booth

The Titans rake is recovering well from initial surgery on his knee injury sustained against Melbourne in Round 21. He has a surgical appointment this week to determine the date of a second reconstruction surgery that is needed.

His return date is 9-12 months post second surgery.

Patrick Herbert

Herbert had ACL surgery this week after sustaining an ACL and MCL injury when he was hit high during the Round 22 match in Wollongong.

His return date is 9-12 months post second surgery.

Erin Clark

The dynamic middle forward went under the knife in a knee arthroscopy four weeks ago and is progressing well.

Clark is expected to return to full training in mid to late November.

Corey Thompson

Battling through the season nursing injury, the Gold Coast flyer has been sent for a knee clean out post-season.

Thompson is expected to return to full training in mid to late November.

AJ Brimson

The Titans vice captain has been given time to recover and rehab post-season after playing through a chronic groin/ab injury across the entirety of the 2022 season.

Brimson is set to be monitored closely throughout the pre-season, specifically prior to Christmas.
