World Cup crunch time: Your ultimate Titans guide

It's crunch time in the Rugby League World Cup with the quarter finals kicking off this weekend in the United Kingdom.

The great news for Titans fans is every final right up to the decider will involve at least one Gold Coast representative, so there will be a keen eye on every fixture leading up to the finale on Sunday, November 20 in Manchester.

Below are the blockbuster matchups kicking off a big World Cup finals series, with every game live on Fox League and Kayo Sports.

Australia v Lebanon

5.30am (AEST) Saturday, November 5

Titans captain Tino Fa'asuamaleaui has taken his green and gold journey like a duck to water, playing in a big part in two of the three lead-up games to the Kangaroos' do-or-die clash against the Cedars.

Expecting to start in the front row after being named by Mal Meninga in the 19-man squad, the skipper only played 39 minutes off the pine in their 66-6 demolition of Italy, but made an impressive 126 running metres; 64 of those post-contact.

It's anticipated another big effort will be on full display by the 22-year-old on Saturday morning.

England v Papua New Guinea

12.30am (AEST) Sunday, November 6

Whilst Jacob Alick is still biding his time for a NRL debut with the Titans, he hasn't looked out of place representing his grandmother's Papua New Guinean heritage in the UK.

The hard-running forward has played in all three of the Kumuls' group fixtures, which saw them come agonisingly close to topping Group D after narrowly being defeated by Tonga in their tournament opener.

Stanley Tepend's men will face their toughest task of their campaign when they take on the hosts in Wigan, hoping to make history and progress past the quarter finals for the first time in competition history.

New Zealand v Fiji

5.30am (AEST) Sunday, November 6

In this corresponding fixture back in 2017, the Kiwis were upset by the Bati, but with the punters having New Zealand as one of the tournament favourites, it's going to be a tough task for Fiji to repeat history early Sunday morning.

Titans fans will have their eyes set on the team lists to see if Isaac Liu and Kieran Foran will form part of Michael Maguire's final 19-man squad for the contest, with the pair both putting in solid performances across their outings in the group stage.

Especially for incoming Coast playmaker Foran, who ably filled in for the injured Jahrome Hughes in the halves, before producing two try assists against Ireland as a handy utility off the bench.

Tonga v Samoa

12.30am (AEST) Monday, November 7

Gold Coast duo Moeaki Fotuaika and David Fifita have been among the best for the Mate Ma'a in Tonga's three group matches leading up to the quarter finals. They now face their toughest task of the tournament against Samoa, who have defied a shaky start to fire when they've most needed to.

The Keebra Park alumni have both found the white stripe while representing their heritage and are expected to maintain the rage again now they are in the playoffs stage.

This game is tipped to be the clash of the World Cup thus far, so it's a fixture sure not to be missed.
