There's been plenty of talk about a man named Foran joining the Titans in 2023.
While the attention will be on Kieran, his younger namesake (no relation) will be looking to also have a breakout season on the Gold Coast.
Ryan Foran is into his second pre-season at the club, with the local junior looking to make his mark at Hostplus Cup level this year.
Coming through the Future Titans System, Foran will join the side on a full-time train and trial basis in 2023, meaning he will be around the training paddock for a full season.
"I'm stoked for this year to get the full year under the belt," he said.
"I can't wait to learn off all of the boys and hopefully take my game to the next level next year."
This time last year, Foran was fresh off selection in the Australian Schoolboys merit side and had just graduated from year 12 as he joined the NRL squad for training.
He says his first year was about learning and he's much better prepared as he enters his second pre-season with the Titans.
"It was just that you've got to be consistent and that it is a mental game," he said.
"Coming straight out of school, school is pretty cruisy and a bit of fun with your mates.
"I was lucky enough to make that schoolboys side and you're on a bit of a high but then you come into the everyday grind and you really start to figure out if it is something you want to do.
"You've got to be mentally tough, it was a great learning experience and I'm ready to go for this year."
Season 2022 saw Foran push for selection at the Hostplus Cup level, named as 18th man for the Tweed Seagulls. After spending the year playing for the Titans affiliate club at the Colts level, he says he is eyeing more senior game time this coming year.
"It wasn't a bad year (2022), it started off pretty slow with a shoulder injury but once I got a bit of momentum I got into my stride," he said.
"As a team we had a bit of an up and down year and we hit our straps at the right time but we just fell short against Wynnum in the end.
"I'm just trying to learn as much as I can and soak it all up.
"Hopefully I'll get a couple of games of Cup this year and in the coming years push for a spot in the top squad."
Foran is one of a number of Junior Titans System graduates who are taking part in the pre-season, with many to progress into development and then top-30 contracts over the coming seasons.
The young forward will move into the Titans squad proper next year.
Foran says he feels very comfortable having played plenty of footy with the group that includes Jaylan De Groot, Tom Weaver, Oskar Bryant and Ben Liyou.
"It's so good to be called the next generation," he said.
"I've played with a lot of those boys for a long time and we complement each other on the footy field and it helps my game."
