Spry ready to fly with Titans in ‘23

Treymain Spry is gearing up for a big season, buoyed by the news that he will be a Titan for the next two years.

The 23-year-old, who is comfortable at both centre and wing, joins the Titans top-30 squad for 2023 and 2024.

The hulking outside back made his NRL debut in 2020, playing five games in his rookie season.

After being the victim of a one-punch attack, Spry missed the majority of last season with football on hold as he recovered from serious injury.

Spry completed a modified training program as part of his rehab and was able to play six games in the Hostplus Cup for Tweed Seagulls to finish the 2022 season.

Titans coach Justin Holbrook says he’s excited to see what Spry can achieve on-field this season.

“Treymain is a natural footballer and is the type of player that can make things happen with the ball in hand," he said.

“He’s given fans a short glimpse of his talent in his debut season and in Hostplus Cup games, but we believe he has plenty to give at NRL level.

“Treymain’s journey has been interrupted, but after some adversity he is very keen to make sure he grabs the opportunity to play footy at the highest level.

“Treymain will continue to work hard on his game and I am keen to see what he can achieve.”
