Coming soon: Behind the Grind

Tried, tested and pushed to the absolute limit.

The Titans playing group were challenged to the core in their quest for redemption, participating in a gruelling three-day army-style camp at the end of 2022.

From running up and down hills carrying jerry cans and PVC piping full of water without a break to having to navigate through bushland in the dark, as well as facing the fear of heights through abseiling and a 10-metre free-fall dive; the entire experience was nothing short of a physical and mental test for all involved.

Aimed to build character, grow camaraderie and strengthen resilience - three fundamental traits that are crucial for premiership success - the Gold Coast squad finished the journey with big smiles, thankful for chance to thrive together during tough times, which is hoped to be replicated on the field this season.

Titans fans were given a sneak peek of the intense and demanding experience at the end of last year, with the full-length documentary to premiere this week.

Behind the Grind: Titans Camp Reel

At the end of the three days, Titans forward David Fifita was humbled by the experience, knowing how much he'll take away from being pushed to the absolute limit.

"It was a challenging couple of days with the boys but I've really appreciated all things that we've done. It's only going to better us and better myself. I've really appreciated it," he said.

For his fellow back row partner Beau Fermor, he also extracted plenty, including how to succeed under fatigue.

"I feel we were able to take away being able to work under pressure and under a lot of fatigue as a team," he said.

"We learnt a lot of communication under fatigue is crucial and the camp has made us grow stronger together as a team."

Jaimin Jolliffe was relieved at the finish line, but is thankful to know the mental resilience he and his teammates have in times of adversity.

"When it was over, there was certainly a bit of relief there but also that feeling of achieving something... that we conquered it and we pushed ourselves a lot harder than we ever thought we'd have to," the Titans forward said.

"Those three days are probably some of the toughest we've done.

"It's a good feeling knowing we could get through that, especially knowing when we're leading into games that our backs are against the wall and we know we have more in the tank."

Stay tuned - the full documentary will premiere on Titans.com.au and Titans social channels this week.
