Injury update: Kieran Foran

In good news for the Titans, scans have revealed Kieran Foran only sustained a severe cork in Sunday's season opening win against the Tigers.

Initially thought to be more serious which would have likely ruled the experienced playmaker out for an extended period, the 263-gamer has been named to play this weekend against the Dragons and will be given every opportunity to prove his fitness.

A further update on Foran's availability will be provided closer to kick-off.

Earlier...

Gold Coast Titans playmaker Kieran Foran will be sent for scans on Monday after leaving the field in the 56th minute against the Wests Tigers on Sunday.

Coming off with a right knee complaint, coach Justin Holbrook confirmed the 263-game half will be assessed on Monday, but the experienced five-eighth is hoping for the best as he turns his attention to next Sunday's contest against the Dragons.

Foran talks about his injury

"I'll be alright... I'll get it assessed and go from there," he told Fox League post-match.

"Obviously I had to come off because I wasn't able to run, but I'll get the medical team to have a look and we'll go from there."

The Titans will provide a further update once Foran receives scans and is assessed by club medical staff.
