'Best is still to come': Clark declares Storm warning

Erin Clark feels the best is still to come for the Titans as he prepares to help deliver a rousing home win at the Gold Coast's first home game of the season on Saturday.

Up against a determined Melbourne outfit who will be ruing their last round loss against the Bulldogs, the versatile forward knows it will be a tough task against one of the premiership contenders, but knows his side has what it takes to secure the two points... especially coming into the clash with back-to-back home wins under their belt.

"I'm really excited to get out in front of our home crowd. We haven't been able to do that yet," Clark said.

"I also don't think we've played our best footy yet and what better way than to do it up against the Storm on Saturday afternoon.

"I can't wait to get out there and put our best foot forward and hopefully do our fans proud, do the Gold Coast proud and do ourselves proud at the end of the day."

Returning to the pine for the Gold Coast's first home game of the season after starting in the front row last weekend in place of the injured Jaimin Jolliffe, the versatile forward is eager to bring his best two characteristics to the forefront after two big weeks of defence.

"I just want to bring energy and effort when I come on," Clark said.

"I think the last few weeks, we've been defending quite a bit so it's been hard to bring that in attack.

"Hopefully we can limit the amount of tackles we make and we can get in with a bit of attacking and have some fun."

It's also an incredibly special weekend for Clark with the NRL celebrating Multicultural Round - the proud Māori having a number of family and friends flying over from New Zealand to watch him play and be part of the cultural celebration.

"Family means a lot to me, like all us Polynesians," Clark said.

"I've got 15 family members coming over from New Zealand to be a part of it, so it's exciting for me to run out there with my family in the stands and my kids get back on Saturday too.

"I think celebrating those little cultures that don't really get recognised, that's something big when it comes to Multicultural Round for me especially."
