Affiliate wrap: Spry flies with four-minute double

Treymain Spry had a day out in his first game of the season for the Tweed Seagulls, scoring a double in the space of four minutes to help in their 26-22 victory in Toowoomba.

In Round 2 of the Hostplus Cup with only the one Titans affiliate playing - Burleigh having a bye - the Gold Coast flyer bedazzled in the two-try haul, adding to his three line breaks and eight tackle breaks in the contest.

Fellow teammate Klese Haas was on fire once again in his second outing for the year in the Hostplus Cup, finishing 80-minutes in the back-row with 30 tackles at 91 percent, as well as getting away two offloads, two line break assists, a try assist and four tackle breaks.

Tom Weaver played his first Cup game of the season, coming off the interchange bench; meanwhile Titans train-and-trialist put his name under lights by also bagging a two-try haul, as well as topping the running metres tally with 195.

The Bears are back in action this week, hosting Redcliffe on Sunday afternoon at home; meanwhile, Tweed host Norths on Saturday afternoon.
