Locked in: Foran excited for return to old stomping ground

There's no one more excited for Saturday's showdown against the Sea Eagles than Kieran Foran, who is set to meet his former club at Brookvale for the first time since joining the Titans.

“I hope they give me a cheer and I’m looking forward to getting back there, it’ll be a bit of a surreal feeling... I’m excited for the game,” the Gold Coast No. 6 told SEN's Sportsday on Wednesday.

Having played more than half of his 268 NRL games with the Silvertails, the experienced playmaker will join Tanah Boyd in the halves for the contest at 4 Pines Park, with coach Justin Holbrook confirming his final 19-man squad for the Round 9 clash.

The side will prepare for the match unchanged, remaining 1-19 at this stage; with two new faces on the bench including Klese Haas and Joe Vuna, in place of Kruise Leeming and Thomas Mikaele - the former still in the squad with 18th man duties.

Former Manly flyer Brian Kelly will also return to his old home ground with 49 NRL tries, hoping to notch up a half century of four-pointers in the contest.

The final 17 will be named one hour before kick-off when the two meet at 5.30pm Saturday, live on Fox League and Kayo Sports.
