Affiliate wrap: Tweed got Sexy back

The Tweed Seagulls relished Toby Sexton's return from a hand injury as they romped to a dominant 54-14 win over the Ipswich Jets on Saturday.

The Gold Coast playmaker was pivotal in their victory, scoring a try and assisting in another, as well as showing a strong running game, making 70 metres in the 80-minute contest.

Fellow Titan Treymain Spry was also among the try-scorers in the important win for the Seagulls, as they remain in the mix in the congested ladder after 10 rounds of the Hostplus Cup.

In Burleigh, the Bears cemented top spot with a strong 40-24 win over the Western Clydesdales, with Keano Kini's first game back another strong performance - the whiz kid running for 260 metres, scoring a try and making seven tackle breaks.

Jacob Alick continued his impressive form with another strong showing, particularly in defence making 22 tackles without a miss.

They'll now head to Ipswich to face the Jets; meanwhile, the Seagulls will host the 'flockbuster' against the Wynnum Manly Seagulls on Saturday.
