Injury report: Key stars on track for return

The Titans are set to welcome back a number of key players from the casualty ward over the coming weeks after having been struck with injury early in the season.

AJ Brimson has begun running again and is on track for a return from his hamstring tear in the next three to five weeks; meanwhile, Sam Verrills is also expected to return from his fractured collarbone in the coming weeks after an extended period out to recover after his last match in Round 2.

Jaimin Jolliffe has been given the green light from his surgeon to begin contact training and is also eyeing off a return over the next two home games at Cbus Super Stadium since being sidelined with a torn pec in March.

In further good news, both Erin Clark (finger) and Toby Sexton (scaphoid) got through their respective matches over the weekend without incident, and Thomas Mikaele has also returned to full fitness since being sidelined with a groin strain.

Titans full-time train-and-triallist Ben Liyou has begun running since rupturing his ACL in February, with the 22-year-old to join the club's top 30 roster in 2024.

But in disappointing news for fellow teammate Jaylan De Groot, he has fractured his leg playing for Tweed in the Hastings Deering Colts and will miss a number of weeks as he recovers.
