Gray called in as Titans young guns dominate Queensland Under 19 side

Thursday night's Under 19 female Origin clash will have a heavy Titans flavour to it, with a record seven players to represent the club when they run out for Queensland at Kayo Stadium.

This includes an all-Gold Coast spine and back-row thanks to the inclusion of young forward Matekino Gray, who was initially expected to miss the clash due to injury but has now been passed fit and is excited for her first Maroons experience.

The playmaking quartet will include Destiny Mino-Sinaptai, Chantay Kiria-Ratu, Sienna Lofipo and Lily Kolc; whilst Malaela Su'a and Rilee Jorgensen will play on the edge and fresh face Gray at lock.

A testament to the club's pathways built - bolstered by the expansion of the Titans female Academy program at the end of last season - NRLW coach Karyn Murphy is extremely proud to have such representation in the interstate clash.

"We've always said that we really want to bring players through our pathways, especially young girls who are coming through our academies and it's great to see the spine - the Queensland nine, seven, six and one are all from the Titans," Murphy said.

"As well as that, we've also got the two back rowers and lock who are our players as well.

"We would've also two other Titans there as well (Estanoa Faitala and Dannii Perese) if not for injuries, so it's unfortunate for those girls, but really I'm really excited for the seven that will be playing."

The Titans NRLW playing group will travel together to Redcliffe to show their support for their upcoming stars as they take on New South Wales.

Kick-off is at 5.45pm on Thursday at Kayo Stadium; live on 9 Gem, 9 Now, Fox League and Kayo Sports.
