Affiliate wrap: Kini's insane Cup return helps Bears to big dance

Keano Kini's late inclusion to the Burleigh Bears has helped them thrash the Wynnum Manly Seagulls 57-8 to book a spot in Sunday's Hostplus Cup grand final.

The Titans-contracted fullback was extraordinary in only 49 minutes on-field; running 218 metres, breaking the line three times, busting nine tackles and as chiming in with a first half double before being given the early mark ahead with a healthy 20-0 lead at the break.

Iszac Fa'asuamaleaui also joined the 200 club, making 209 meters across 20 runs and Ken Maumalo also was impressive in his Hostplus Cup return, scoring a try, making 189 metres and eight tackle breaks in the preliminary final.

They'll now face the Brisbane Tigers - headlined by former Gold Coast Titan Corey Thompson - in the decider on Sunday at Kayo Stadium, Redcliffe.

The Tweed Seagulls fell short of their maiden Hastings Deering Colts grand final, going down 24-12 to Townsville on Saturday afternoon.
