Hale announced in Golden Boot final four

Georgia Hale is one step closer to claiming her first Golden Boot after the Titans and Kiwi Ferns captain was named as one of the final four nominees to take out this year's top gong.

The proud New Zealander lined up for her ninth season of International Rugby League in the recent Pacific Championships Test series, playing in all three matches which included the highlighted 12-6 win over Australia in late October.

Titans NRLW assistant coach Aaron Booth is elated with Hale's continued recognition with full belief the inspiring leader is a great chance of claiming the prestigious honour.

"I'm stoked Georgia is getting the recognition for her impact to the International game this year," he said.

"She is an unbelievable leader, player and person and deserves to be recognised.

"We are all proud to see her name in the final four for the Golden Boot award and would love to see her take it out."

Hale joins Kiwi Ferns teammates Mele Hufanga and Apii Nicholls, and Jillaroos fullback Tamika Upton in the final quartet, with the winner to be announced in early December.

Titans leader Georgia Hale has been nominated for the 2023 Golden Boot after her captaincy heroics helped the Kiwi Ferns break a seven-year drought with their recent win against the Jillaroos.

The proud New Zealander lined up for her ninth season of International Rugby League in the recent Pacific Championships Test series, playing in all three matches which included the highlighted 12-6 win over Australia in late October.

One of International Rugby League's most coveted honours, the Golden Boot is awarded to the best player in sanctioned rugby league international matches each year.

The 28-year-old has never won the prestigious title in previous five years of it being announced, with Kiwis teammate Raecene McGregor and Jillaroos duo Jess Sergis and Isabelle Kelly past winners.
