Injury report: Key Titans on track for full pre-season return

The Titans have been given a boost by the return of several injured stars to pre-season training after successful off-season surgeries.

Forward duo Beau Fermor and Ben Liyou have both been given the thumbs up to fully come back from their season-long ACL recovery, participating in their first full contract training session last week after completing final testing in Sydney.

Isaac Liu (finger) and Phil Sami (lisfranc) have also returned to sessions without limitations after the experienced pair missed the final game(s) of 2023 with their respective injuries.

Halfback Tanah Boyd is close to his full contact return, slowly increasing his on-field training with the intention to be back and uninterrupted in the new year.

Fellow spine member Sam Verrills is in a similar boat to Boyd after recovering from collarbone surgery - keen to avenge a tough 2023 that saw the hooker miss 13 games for his new club due to reoccurring injuries.

Jayden Campbell is continuing to rehab his knee after dislocating his patella in Round 25, having completed his first field session in week five; meanwhile Erin Clark is running ahead of schedule and is expected to return to full training in the new year.

David Fifita is on the only Gold Coast star who is missing from any form of on-field training, having gone under the knife on Monday to repair a partial tear to his pectoral muscle. He is aiming to return at the start of the 2024 season.
