New Hostplus Cup rivalry to kick-start at Cbus Super Stadium in 2024

A new rivalry between Titans teammates will be born in 2024 with Cbus Super Stadium to host the inaugural clash set to feature in the Hostplus Cup.

As revealed in Wednesday's release of the 2024 QRL draw, Gold Coast affiliate Tweed Seagulls will face off against new club feeder team Ipswich Jets as a curtain-raiser to the Titans' Round 7 clash against the Manly Sea Eagles on Saturday, April 20.

The encounter will be the first time the two will square off against each other since the Jets joined as an affiliate, with a number of NRL stars set to star in both line-ups for the clash.

Kicking off just after 3pm, it will be one of two Hostplus Cup games at Cbus Super Stadium in 2024, with the Seagulls to also host Souths Logan ahead of Round 19 against the Eels.

Tweed will begin their season with a trip to Cairns to face the Northern Pride, hoping to avenge their disappointing end to 2023 after falling just short of qualifying for the playoffs.

The Jets host the Blackhawks at North Ipswich Reserve, with their first clash kicking off on Saturday, March 9 at 5pm.

The expanded BMD Premiership competition will commence on Saturday, March 2; with the regular season to be completed ahead of Origin Game I at Suncorp Stadium on May 16.
