Promising forward trio to join Titans top squad in '24

The Titans NRLW squad has been further bolstered by the elevation of development players Matekino Gray, Lily Kolc and Malaela Sua to the top 24 roster for the upcoming season.

Former graduates of Gold Coast’s female academy which resulted in their progression to the extended playing group last season, the three forwards have a bright future ahead in the women’s game following relevant representative selection; Gray and Kolc helping Queensland to victory in the Under 19 Origin clash and Sua wearing green and gold for the Australian Schoolgirls as well as debuting for Fetu Samoa at the most recent Pacific Championships.

Coach Karyn Murphy is proud to elevate three Future Titans alumni after a strong year in the club’s development system.

“The trio’s progression to our top 24 is a testament to the female pathways that we’re growing here on the Gold Coast,” Murphy said.

“Matekino, Lily and Malaela have a bright future in our game and their time last season training with our first-grade team and learning from some of the best players in the competition has given them a really good perspective on what to expect at the next level.

“Our continued recruitment focus is to elevate and promote from within, so I’m extremely pleased we’ve been able to give the opportunity for these three Titans pathways products to progress to our top squad.”

Fellow young gun Estanoa Faitala will remain in the development roster for 2024 as she continues to recover from an ACL injury sustained last July.
