Locked in: Titans back next men up to conquer the 'Castle

The Titans have full confidence they can make it three Magic Round wins on the trot when they face the Newcastle Knights on Saturday afternoon.

Having beaten the Dragons and Eels in the past two meetings at Suncorp Stadium as part of the festival of footy, the Gold Coast aren't wanting to lean on any excuses despite their growing casualty ward with a strong next man up mentality.

Welcoming back Keenan Palasia from a quad injury sustained in Round 4 alongside Alofiana Khan-Pereira, Aaron Schoupp and Joe Stimson who have also been recalled; young playmaker Tom Weaver will also be given up to kick-off to prove his fitness and fill a void in the halves that will currently feature makeshift duo Chris Randall and Sam Verrills who are relishing the task of chief playmakers.

The 20-year-old remains on the extended bench alongside Tony Francis, with Jacob Alick-Wiencke, Iszac Fa'asuamaleaui and Jaylan De Groot cut from the reserves in the 24-hour team list ahead of the showdown in Brisbane.

Kick-off is at 3pm on Saturday at Suncorp Stadium.
