Good news rugby league fans, the wait is nearly over.

With the summer of cricket in the rear-vision mirror, sports fans and rugby league fans have eagerly awaited the return of the greatest game of all to their loungerooms and weekends.

For the Titans faithful, you will get to see the 2025 version of your team on Sunday 16 February, as they take on the old-rivals in the Brisbane Broncos at 2:30pm at the Toowoomba Sports Ground.

While it is only a trial, there is no such thing as 'friendlies' when it comes to this local derby.

The Broncos will be looking to start the year strong under new coach Michael Maguire, while the Titans in year two with veteran mentor, Des Hasler, will be looking for a solid run across both trials, which will be followed by a week off for the entire competition and then a bye for the Titans in round 1.

The first trial of the year is traditionally a chance to see the younger squad Members of the Titans get a run in club colours along with those that have spent the summer on 'train and trial' contracts from the Ipswich Jets and Tweed Seagulls.

With so many spots up for grabs, the games are sure to be hotly contested affairs.

The Titans second match will see the club take on a pre-season 'Sunshine Showdown' against the Dolphins at Kayo Stadium on Saturday 22 February at the friendlier 6:30pm timeslot.

It will be the Dolphins and Titans final hit-outs before the season commences proper, so near full strength sides are expected for another Queensland derby.

With both matches played away from the Gold Coast, the best way to watch is with a Titans Digital Membership or Member add-on. Buy here.

The package provides a discounted Kayo subscription, $20 merchandise voucher and loads more Member benefits
