Queensland Rugby League have confirmed a number of changes will take place with this weekend's Hostplus Cup fixtures due to the anticipated impacts of Tropical Cyclone Alfred.

Despite Gold Coast having a Round 1 NRL bye, a number of Titans were expected to line-up for both Ipswich and Tweed in their respective season openers; but both Jets and Seagulls fans will have to wait another week with all fixtures being postponed on Thursday due to the predicted inclement weather.

Ipswich's clash against the Townsville Blackhawks has been rescheduled to May 10; meanwhile, Tweed's flockbuster against Wynnum-Manly will be played on Saturday, April 19.

Other statewide competitions games have also been postponed - they include:

  • Harvey Norman Under 17, Harvey Norman Under 19 and Cyril Connell Cup moved to Sunday, March 30
  • Mal Meninga Cup moved to Easter Weekend (date and time TBC)

Tweed Seagulls v Wynnum Manly @ Piggabeen Sports Complex
