He may be yet to don a Titans jersey this year, but rest easy Titans fans, Alofiana Khan-Pereira is good to go for season 2025.
The reigning Ken Irvine Medalist (NRL leading try scorer) for 2024, Khan-Pereira was selected for the Indigenous All Stars side in the first week of trials, meaning he didn't play when the Titans took on the Broncos in Toowoomba, before a bad bout of the flu kept him out of the club's second preseason hit out against the Dolphins.
It raised a few eyebrows of Titans fans not seeing his name on the team sheet but the man himself says he is ready to go for the year ahead.
"I am good to go now." Khan-Pereira said.
"I missed out last week (Dolphins trial) as I wasn't feeling the best and had Influenza A, so I was just sweating it out at home.
"The boys did really good and I was very excited and very happy to see that the new combination that was displayed with AJ (Brimson) and JC (Jayden Campbell) did so well."
So how does the Titans flyer top his breakout 2024 campaign?
The answer according the 'Lofi' is to start again.
"I have hit the reset button and flushed that (2024) out the window now," he said.
"I never like to carry on last years deeds or goals and instead try and set new ones and take baby steps to overcome them.
"I have been working really hard in this pre-season to get those little one percenters right in my game and I am really excited to display that on the field.
"It is going to be a great year with the new halves combinations and big Reg (Reagan Campbell-Gillard) joining us."
Khan-Periera will likely line up on the left edge outside Brian Kelly and AJ Brimson, but the pair have formed a lethal left edge before, even if he has one request for his new five-eighth.
"I have played with AJ before and we have always had that great connection, but I reckon he can pass the ball to me a bit more," he joked, with a cheeky grin.
"He is obviously a runner first, instead of a ball player, which I love when a half runs deep into the line and creates opportunities in a different way.
"The whole preseason we have been working together and the whole left edge is really strong."
The Titans excitement machines in Jayden Campbell, Keano Kini and Brimson were in full flight during the club's second trial against the Dolphins and the thought of adding Khan-Pereira's speed into that backline is one that will have Titans fans salivating.
The quartet, combined with centres Phil Sami and Brian Kelly, and winger Jojo Ffifita, promise to make one the quickest and most electrifying backlines in the whole of the NRL.
The Titans have the bye in the first round meaning the combination wont be seen until Sunday 16 March when they face the Bulldogs at Belmore in Sydney, before returning to Cbus Super Stadium to take on the Newcastle Knights the following Saturday.
