Locked in: AKP, Fifita given green light for North Queensland derby
The Titans will welcome back Alofiana Khan-Pereira and David Fifita from injury for their clash against the Cowboys in Townsville after the pair passed their final fitness tests on Friday.
Khan-Pereira has been missing since Round 2 after a hamstring strain troubled the reigning Ken Irvine Medallist, but Titans coach Des Hasler can confirm he will come straight back onto the wing after being sidelined for the past five weeks.
Fifita is also expected to be good to go after getting through Friday's captain's run without issue, overcoming a hamstring strain that saw him miss last week's clash against the Raiders.
The side remains unchanged ahead of game day with Tony Francis and Jacob Alick-Wiencke remaining on the extended bench.
Iszac Fa'asuamaleaui, Allan Fitzgibbon and Josiah Pahulu have been cut with the squad reduced to 19-men; the trio expecting to line up for the Ipswich Jets in their clash against Wynnum Manly on Saturday.
Gold Coast will wear a special Anzac Round jersey honouring the legacy of former Titans member Corporal Cameron Baird VC, MG; whilst also recognising the contributions of Royal Australian Navy veteran Sue White and Royal Australian Air Force officer Matilda Busby - the pair representing the role women play in the defence force.
The side will also play for the Corporal Cameron Baird VC, MG memorial trophy, which is awarded to the Titans player who best epitomises his values and motto 'Aspire to Inspire' across the Anzac Round clash.
Kick-off is at 5.30pm on Saturday at Queensland Country Bank Stadium, Townsville.
