Beau Fermor knows all about the road back from an ACL injury.
The Titans back-rower has been through two recoveries at the start of his NRL career.
Having an insight into what's ahead, Fermor is among the Titans team-mates who have rallied around Brock Gray who this week found out that he would miss the rest of 2025 with a season ending knee injury.
"it's really unfortunate for Brocky," Fermor said.
"After years of toiling away in Cup, he's come up here and had a really strong pre-season and got a start in round one and he's been playing consistent first grade.
"It's never a nice injury to have."
The 28-year-old grabbed his opportunity and was playing consistent footy across the first eight rounds of the competition.
He'll now have to wait until 2026 to add to his six career games.
Fermor says the Titans players will be supporting Gray as he goes through his recovery.
"I'll be there if he needs to talk to me through any part of the rehab," he said.
"Unfortunately we've got a few boys at the club who has been through this rehab before, so he's got a lot of support here and we'll all be behind him."
Fermor has been one of the Titans best through the early rounds of the season, but after four-straight losses he's looking to see plenty of improvement from his side as they look to snap that streak against the ladder-leading Bulldogs at Magic Round.
"The last four weeks have been really disappointing as a club," Fermor said.
"We need to consistently put in that effort, it is easy to put in that effort when you are in front and things are going well but the best teams do it when their backs are against the wall and things aren't going their way.
"We need to find those efforts in the big moments of the game.
"The way it is at the moment, the momentum in games ebs and flows ... when the momentum shifts and it always does in games no matter how good you're going, we need to find a way to keep that effort up and turn it back in our favour."
