The Gold Coast Titans have scored an incredible comeback win over the Newcastle Knights at McDonald Jones Stadium tonight.

Down by 20 points at one stage, the Titans clawed back to claim a last minute victory 24-20 to snap a run of five losses.

Here are the key three talking points from the game:

Titans overcome early onslaught

An early onslaught of possession from the Knights saw the home side shoot to a 20-0 lead after 27 minutes and set up the game for the local side. The Titans saw only 35% possession in that period and were on the wrong side of a 5-1 penalty count and 3-0 ruck infringements.

A late try to the Titans through Phil Sami, before half time, gave the Gold Coast some momentum going into the break though, before the second 40 minutes saw one way traffic to the Titans.

Phil Sami scored the first two Titans tries and Aj Brimson the second two. These, combined with a perfect goal kicking record from the returning Jayden Campbell ensured the Titans came home the stronger of the two teams.

The Titans showed resilience and grit to hang in and score an important two points in what was their second victory over the Knights this season.

Captain's knock from Faásuamaleaui

Just like the 99 games before tonight, Titans' captain Tino Fa'asuamaleaui left it all on the field.

Celebrating game 100 alongside front rower Moeaki Fotuaika who celebrated game 150, Faásuamaleaui led from the front from the first minute.

An early strong tackle set the tone, before tireless effort on both sides of the ball reminded everyone just why the Titans big man is so loved by the Gold Coast faithful.

By the end of the night the Queensland Origin hopeful had stats of 70 minutes, 23 runs for 241 run metres (92 post-contact), 39 tackles and 5 offloads.

The Titans skipper even brought his kicking licence from Magic Round, although not quite with the same try-scoring result from last week.

Brimson stands up in epic Titans comeback

With his halves partner in Jayden Campbell hampered by an ankle injury, AJ Brimson stood up for the Titans to guide them to victory in Newcastle.

Back in the five-eighth position in 2025, Brimson has been in strong try-scoring form and continued that run with two more tonight in the second half, bringing his tally to seven for the season.

The second of those to clinch the match as he yet again combined with winger Alofiana Khan-Pereira to chase down a grubber and snatch an unlikely comeback.

The Titans will face the high-flying Canberra Raiders in Canberra next weekend, before a bye and then returning home to take on the Melbourne Storm at Cbus Super Stadium.

In his second performance Pahulu found his feet making an immediate impact when he entered the field in the 26th minute his trademark strong runs were on display immediately
