Fermor to debut as one of three Titans in Maroon

Beau Fermor will achieve his childhood Origin dream after being selected for Game I at Suncorp Stadium next Wednesday night.

One of three Titans to wear the Maroon in the series opener, the 26-year-old will be joined by front row enforcers Tino Fa'asuamaleaui and Moeaki Fotuaika, who also head into camp after strong starts to the season.

It's a special return to the Origin arena for the Gold Coast captain, who missed the 2024 campaign due to an ACL injury - forced to watch on the sidelines as Queensland fell to a 2-1 defeat to New South Wales.

Fermor will be one of three Queensland debutants for Game I, alongside Robert Toia and Trent Loiero who have also been selected in Billy Slater's 17 for the clash.

The Origin newcomers will enter Camp Maroon today alongside a host of established Maroons ahead of next Wednesday's battle at Suncorp Stadium.
