Injury report: Titans dealt double blow ahead of derby

The Titans will be missing a further two of their key starters for this weekend's Macca's Local Derby with both Jojo Fifita and Sam Verrills succumbing to injury in last week's showdown against the Storm.

Fifita suffered a broken hand in a standout performance by the powerful outside back - expecting to miss the next fortnight before eyeing a return in Round 16.

Verrills suffered a similar injury but has been forced to undergo surgery - set to be sidelined for three weeks, hopeful to be back by Round 17.

Jaylan De Groot will remain unavailable for at least a further fortnight after picking up a hamstring injury at training last week; meanwhile, the club will work with the NRL to determine AJ Brimson's availability for this week's clash after he suffered a head knock in the same session.

David Fifita has also begun running but will be unavailable for selection this week - the barnstorming back-rower to be continually assessed by Titans medicos after ankle surgery last month.
