Locked in: NRL gives Brimson green light for Broncos derby
AJ Brimson has been given medical clearance to return for Saturday's clash against the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium in great news for Titans fans.
The 122-gamer sustained a head knock at training prior to last weekend's clash against the Storm, but has received the appropriate clearances to return to play.
He joins Tukimihia Simpkins on the extended bench in the 19-man squad with coach Des Hasler to make a final call on his line-up on game day - an hour prior to the 7.35pm showdown.
The Titans will be looking to continue their strong recent form against their northern neighbours, chasing their fourth consecutive victory against the Broncos - 'little brother' unbeaten in the Macca's Local Derby since mid 2023.
In other squad news following this week's injury report, Sam Verrills has had successful surgery on his broken hand and is pushing for a return in Round 17.
As also reported on Tuesday, David Fifita was unavailable for selection for the derby clash against the Broncos as he continues his rehabilitation post-ankle surgery. He’ll continue to be monitored and will become available for selection in the coming weeks.
Both Jaylan De Groot (hamstring) and Jojo Fifita (hand) are a chance of returning as early as next week, but will continue to be monitored by Titans medical staff.
