Parramatta have claimed a 16-point win over the Titans at CommBank Stadium in Sydney, with errors again proving costly for the Gold Coast side.

The Eels grabbed a 36 points to 20 win with a strong second half display.

Errors from the Titans directly lead to points for the Eels, with the Gold Coast side having multiple chances but unable to capitalise.

It leaves the Gold Coast now likely needing to win eight of the remaining ten games if they're to play any football in September.

Here are the key points from the Round 16 clash:

JC head knock proves costly

Jayden Campbell was forced from the field with 13 minutes to go in the first half against the Eels for a Head Injury Assessment and didn’t return. Deemed a category one, the assessment not only ruled him out of the remained of the game against Parramatta, but he’ll now undertake a compulsory 11-day stand down which will rule him out of the Titans home game against the North Queensland Cowboys next weekend.  The incident happened with the Eels attacking the Titans line, and Campbell, Sam Verrills and AJ Brimson making a desperate tackle on Dylan Walker close to the line.  Campbell collided with the knee of team-mate Verrills.  In positive news, Jayden returned to the bench to watch the remainder of the match.

Randall again shows his value

Chris Randall’s wardrobe looks a little like a Saturday night lotto draw given the amount of numbers he’s worn on his back since being at the Titans.  His versatility has meant he has played in the back row, at lock, hooker, five-eighth, front row and from the interchange bench.  In recent times he’s made a home in the back row, wearing the #11 and getting about his work.  Tonight, with Jayden Campbell ruled out of the game, he had to move into a role in the halves with Jacob Alick-Wiencke slotting into the back row.  Yet again, he can hold his head high with another strong performance.  As Michael Ennis said in commentary on Fox League, Chris Randall is rarely anything other than an 8/10.  Scoring a try in the first half and making ** tackles in another 80 minute performance, Randall again showed just how valuable he is to this team.

Two in two weeks for Randall

Origin duo ready to return to starting side next weekend

Both Tino Fa'asuamaleaui and Moeaki Fotuaika backed up from Queensland's Origin game two win, with both of the Titans enforcers playing reduced minutes after returning from Perth.  It took 25 minutes for the two to be injected into the game, but their load was managed with Tino in particular playing reduced minutes as he backed up from a heavy workload.

Tino managed 38 minutes and Moeaki 50, with both eyeing a return to the starting side for next weekend's game against the Cowboys at Cbus Super Stadium.

Jaimin Jolliffe once again put his case forward for a starting spot, grabbing the opportunity and impressing with another strong showing in 50-minutes of action.
