Locked in: Hasler opts for back five switch ahead of Cowboys derby
Experienced centre Brian Kelly has been recalled for the Titans' Queensland derby against the Cowboys on Sunday afternoon.
The 181-gamer returns after playing Hostplus Cup last week, replacing Alofiana Khan-Pereira who has been omitted from the squad and will instead line-up for the Ipswich Jets, who are also in action at Cbus Super Stadium as a curtain-raiser to the NRL clash at 4.05pm.
The only change made by coach Des Hasler ahead of game day, the home side will also see Tom Weaver join Kieran Foran in the halves to replace Jayden Campbell who is out due to concussion as confirmed on Tuesday, with the remainder of the side remaining as per program.
Alongside Khan-Pereira; Sean Mullany and Tukimihia Simpkins have also been cut from the extended squad with the duo starting for the Tweed Seagulls in their clash against Burleigh on Saturday afternoon.
Aiming to avenge their Round 8 loss to the Cowboys in Townsville, the Titans will take confidence having beaten the visitors at Robina in their past two outings and look to notch up their fifth win of the season in the derby clash.
Kick-off is at 4.05pm on Sunday at Cbus Super Stadium, Gold Coast.
