The Broncos have come away with a hard-fought 26-14 win against the Titans in a close contest at Cbus Super Stadium.
An arm wrestle for a majority of the contest, Brisbane's two quick four pointers with seven minutes to go until half-time make things more challenging in front of nearly 25,000 fans, but Gold Coast fought back to get close to earn back the Macca's Local Derby trophy.
But it wasn't to be, with the Broncos extending the lead with 20 minutes remaining, taking home the silverware with two wins in the two clashes this season - but not without plenty of effort in the clash, especially by some of the Coast's young guns.

Here are the key talking points:
Silverware to stay in Brisbane
The Macca's Local Derby trophy will reside at Red Hill until next season after the Broncos flexed their muscle in the second half to notch back-to-back victory against the Titans.
A tight tussle with it being deadlocked for a majority of the first half, Ben Talty opened the account for the visitors, who put two quick tries on the home side to lead 14-2 at the break.
Despite a spirited fightback from Gold Coast to get within a converted try, Billy Walters put more scoreboard pressure on in the 61st minute to make it a 12-point difference, which was the final margin between the two combatants.
Try savers aplenty
A number of individual efforts in defence will be savoured for some time to come - especially from several of Gold Coast's young guns who were shining lights in defence.
Jaylan De Groot inspired the troops, beginning an all-important try-saver in the 19th minute alongside AJ Brimson, before Jojo Fifita ran the length of the field to cut down Kotoni Staggs near half-time.

De Groot shines in new role
Newly extended outside back Jaylan De Groot showed his versatility with an astute performance on the wing, returning with class from a hamstring injury
His first appearance on the edge after eight games this season - all but one at fullback - the 22-year-old provided plenty of spark and energy to compliment Jojo Fifita on Gold Coast's right side, as well as stopping a number of attacking raids to keep Maroons star Gehamat Shibasaki quiet.

The Titans hold Shibasaki at bay
With a number of outside back options for Des Hasler to consider, De Groot's performance has put himself in good stead for next week's trip to Sydney to meet the Tigers.
