Titans join in celebrating Telstra Footy Country Round

The Titans are proud to be joining in the inaugural Telstra Footy Country Round to celebrate and inspire the next generation of rugby league players across the Gold Coast and Northern Rivers.

This week, both NRL and NRLW sides will represent two local junior clubs by wearing their socks at a training session in a tribute to all the local clubs and communities that shaped them, with the hope of inspiring more youngsters to pick up a football.

The two clubs - Tugun Seahawks and Mullumbimby Giants - were chosen by representatives from both QRL and NSWRL to congratulate excellence in 2025 and will also participate in a guard of honour for both Titans NRL and NRLW sides in Saturday's double header clash at Cbus Super Stadium.

Tugun has been recognised for their exemplary discipline and positive and safe environment, with no off-field incidents reported and an impressive 84 percent player retention rate. Their strong, proactive communication with the league and active participation in Healthy Clubs visits show a dedication to ongoing improvement, alongside their continued collaboration with local council on facility upgrades.

Mullumbimby has shown remarkable resilience, community spirit and unwavering dedication to overcome multiple natural disasters this season. Working with the community to rebuild facilities, support families and strengthen the local rugby league culture, they too have no reported off-field incidents this season and have maintained a safe, welcoming environment for all members.

Alongside the Seahawks and Giants representing the Gold Coast and Northern Rivers, several Titans including Jayden Campbell, Brian Kelly, Ben Liyou, Jaime Chapman, Taliah Fuimaono and Lailani Montgomery visited Maclean on Wednesday, inspiring students and junior league participants in the Lower Clarence.

Junior players from local clubs will also be featured on-field as part of Macca's Mini League; whilst Gold Coast players will also proudly represent their junior club when they run out on Saturday.
