Jets name star-studded squad for semi-final showdown

The Ipswich Jets could have as many as seven Titans in action for their do-or-die semi-final clash against the Wynnum Manly Seagulls on Sunday.

Having conquered the Falcons in a golden-point thriller at Sunshine Coast Stadium last weekend, the Gold Coast affiliates will continue their giant-slaying mission at Brisbane's bayside in their Hostplus Cup finals quest.

Fresh off his NRL debut last weekend, Carter Gordon has been named among the reserves with every chance he'll return to the halves after three games as chief playmaker before his call-up to the top grade.

He could be joined by Arama Hau, Ben Liyou, Josh Patston, Iszac Fa'asuamaleaui, Harley Smith-Shiilds and Allan Fitzgibbon with the team to be finalised on Saturday.

Should the Jets win, they'll face the Norths Devils in the preliminary final for a ticket to this year's grand final.

Kick-off is at 2.10pm on Sunday at BMD Kougari Oval, Wynnum.
