Hippi Hippi hooray for boom rookie's Titans extension

One of the NRLW's most promising stars will remain on the Gold Coast for a further two seasons with Phoenix-Raine Hippi extending her time as a Titan.

A proud product of the club's pathways, the 19-year-old was a revelation for Karyn Murphy upon her debut earlier this season, going on to score nine tries in her seven appearances, including three doubles.

Achieving her NRLW dream after also getting the chance to play for Queensland in the Under 19 Origin in June, the Titans coach is excited to have Hippi part of her roster long-term.

"Phe's had an incredible start to her career and has shown real composure in key moments this season," Murphy said.

"What's more exciting is she's only just beginning her career, but we know she has the ability and attitude to become one of the competition’s best outside backs.

"She has such a natural footy instinct but what I love most is her worth ethic. She wants to learn, has such a desire to continually improve as a player and is extremely passionate about representing her culture, community and the Titans having grown up as a Gold Coast fan.

"Having Phe locked in for another two years is a huge boost for our squad and reinforces our commitment to developing local talent in our pathways to help build long-term success."
