One, two, three derbies to start 2026 NRL season

Bragging rights mean everything… especially in a Queensland derby.

Luckily, Titans fans won’t have to wait long with the trio of rivalries that promise intensity, emotion and state pride all coming up in the opening five rounds of the 2026 season.

Beginning with the Sunshine Showdown in Round 2, Gold Coast travel to Phinland eager to rewrite the script with the new kids on the block taking both wins last season.

But with Keano Kini back to full fitness and ready for the challenge against opposing No. 1 Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, the Sunday evening clash is set to be one not to be missed.

Upon eyeing off the Dolphins, the Titans then head north to Townsville for the ultimate North Queensland clash where Maroons forwards Tino Fa'asuamaleaui, Moeaki Fotuaika and Beau Fermor will take on Origin counterparts Jeremiah Nanai and Reuben Cotter.

The big one circled in Titans Members and fans calendars though will be the home clash against the Broncos in round 5.

With the reigning premiers coming to the Coast on Easter Saturday, the city and Cbus Super Stadium are sure to be rocking on Saturday, April 4.
