Many may have thought Viliami Fifita might have been given an insight into what a gruelling pre-season looks like given his older brother has been a regular at Titans HQ since 2021.
But instead, the young gun has been given the tough love treatment from Jojo, showing nothing is given in the top grade with everything needing to be earnt; that mantra how Fifita has become a household name as one of the most powerful outside backs in the competition, now 58 games into his career.
Viliami is one of a handful of Future Titans spending the next few weeks training with Gold Coast's NRL squad - an exciting, mobile front rower who has approached his maiden experience in a full-time system with some nerves but plenty of enthusiasm.
Boasting a surname synonymous with the Titans and as another offspring of one of the toughest competitors to play elite rugby union - the son of Tongan International Pila Fifita - his family ties and ethos has allowed the next generation forward to be physically and mentally ready to take the next step up in his rugby league career.
It's that same family toughness why Jojo hasn't given him any leg ups ahead of his first pre-season at Parkwood, but it's also allowed him to be ready to match it with the best.
So when asked who was he keen to train alongside, Viliami had only one answer.
"Tino," he told titans.com.au.
"I know he is going to give it to me, but I have just got to try and cope with it."
It shows a great attitude to want to take on one the biggest names in the team and challenge himself.
The 17-year-old also spoke of the preparation his family had provided to get him ready for the next stage in his career.
"It has been some tough sessions (getting ready for my first pre-season with Dad)... he's pretty full on but it's in a good way," Fifita said.
"He does it all for us and without him, I don't think we would be in the place we are today.
"He's done a lot for us through teaching us the ways of how to be a good player, be a good role model, and then also how to get better on and off the field."
Viliami may not be in the top squad yet, but he is a player to keep an eye on for years to come and one thing is for sure, he'll be ready to take the next challenge when it comes.
Locked in until 2029, Fifita junior will spend the next few weeks completing his first NRL pre-season before continue to be part of the Future Titans whilst still at school.
