Titans Together supports rugby league in PNG

The Gold Coast Titans are proud to continue supporting the wider rugby league community through their Titans Together initiatives, and a recent story out of Port Moresby highlights the impact of this program.

Back in October, Raymond Solomon, Head Coach of three rugby league teams in Gerehu, reached out to the Titans seeking assistance.

His teams, including the open women’s, open men’s, and U17 Jubilee Secondary School boys squads, were in need of new playing jerseys for their upcoming competitions, but had no funding available to replace their old, worn-out kits.

Thanks to Titans Together a set of pre-loved Leagueability jerseys and shorts was donated to the teams.

The jerseys will now be shared across all three squads, giving players the chance to compete in pride and style.

“Stories like this are exactly why Titans Together exists,” said Matt Ash, Operations Manager – Community and Competitions.

“Being able to provide these kits to teams that otherwise wouldn’t have them is just one small way we can support the growth of rugby league and make a real difference for communities like Gerehu.”

Photos from the donation show the players proudly wearing their new jerseys, a tangible reminder of the Titans’ ongoing commitment to fostering rugby league at all levels.

This initiative is just another example of how Titans Together continues to strengthen connections and opportunities for rugby league communities.
