Titans invite Ipswich community to open training session

The Titans will hit the road to Ipswich to face off in an opposed session against the Jets, inviting the Legion to be part of the open training session on Wednesday, January 28 at North Ipswich Reserve.

The late afternoon hit-out against one of the club's Hostplus Cup affiliates will give local rugby league supporters a rare opportunity to watch the Titans train up close as preparations continue for the upcoming NRL season, which kickstarts with Gold Coast's first pre-season trial against the Dolphins on February 12.

Following the on-field session, fans will be invited to take part in a player meet and greet, offering the chance for autographs and photo with members of the Titans squad.

Titans director of football Scott Sattler said the upcoming trip to Ipswich reinforces the club's commitment to strengthening the connection with the local community.

"The Ipswich region has always been passionate about rugby league and it's important we continue expanding our reach, allowing our entire region to get up close and personal and be part of our journey," he said.

"Plus, the chance to have an opposed session against the Jets will be an important part of our preparations with the season fast approaching, as well as a great experience for our affiliate side.

"We can't wait to welcome the entire community to our training session on January 28... I'm looking forward to seeing a great crowd at North Ipswich Reserve."

The free event will kick-off at 5pm with the opposed session against the Jets, followed by a meet and greet with the NRL squad at approximately 6.30pm.

The Titans will also visit Lismore for a fan day with the Northern Rivers community on Saturday, February 7. Click here for more details.
