Titans partner with leading Gold Coast law firms

The Gold Coast Titans will join forces with Hannay Criminal Defence and Lifestyle Injury Lawyers for the next two seasons, partnering with the two respected, community-focused legal firms.

Led by directors Daniel Hannay (Hannay Criminal Defence) and Mitchell Herlihy (Lifestyle Injury Lawyers), the collaboration brings together organisations that share a strong commitment to professionalism and integrity.

Hannay Criminal Defence are one of the most experienced criminal law practices in Australia - operating across the eastern seaboard including the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Sydney - and have deep foundations in the local community and a long-standing history of supporting grassroots sport, emerging athletes and charitable organisations.

Also entrenched among the Gold Coast community is leading personal injury firm Lifestyle Injury Lawyers, who have extensive experience in a wide range of compensation related matters.

Titans CEO Steve Mitchell welcomed the two Gold Coast-based law firms as major partners of the club.

"Daniel and Mitchell lead two industry-leading organisations with strong reputations, not just professionally but in the way they give back to the community," he said.

"Their belief in fairness, representation and supporting people closely aligns with what the Titans stand for, both on and off the field."

Hannay Criminal Defence director Daniel Hannay said he was excited to align with a club whose standards and direction reflect his own professional ethos.

"The Titans are a club built on strong values, a genuine connection to the community and a clear commitment to doing things the right way," Hannay said.

"That philosophy strongly aligns with how we operate at Hannay Criminal Defence.

"For more than 16 years, I’ve worked in high-level criminal defence across Australia, where fairness, strong representation and justice are fundamental to everything we do.

"While I have no relation to new head coach Josh Hannay, despite sharing the same surname, I’ve been particularly impressed by his leadership, as well as the professionalism and vision shown by the club’s director of football Scott Sattler.

"Our national presence is led by an exceptional senior team, with Farshad Sarabi heading our Gold Coast practice, Hugh Stitt leading Brisbane practice and Regan Harms overseeing our Sydney office.

"That depth of leadership reflects our commitment to excellence across every jurisdiction we operate in. In addition to these operations, Hannay Criminal Defence also undertakes work in New Zealand, with further expansion on the horizon.

"The direction of the club — both culturally and in terms of its future potential — is what makes this a partnership we are genuinely excited to be part of."

Lifestyle Injury Lawyers director Mitchell Herlihy said the partnership was a natural fit, both strategically and personally.

"I’ve been a lifelong rugby league fan and community is at the heart of what makes this sport so great. As a proud Gold Coaster, I felt there was a strong alignment between our business and the Titans as they are central to this community and connecting families and fans alike," Herlihy said.

"At Lifestyle Injury Lawyers, our focus is on supporting people through tough times, prioritising their health and rehabilitation and helping them get back to full capacity after injury.

"We see that same commitment reflected in the Titans’ community programs and the meaningful impact they have across the region.

"We’re excited to support the club as it continues to grow on and off the field and proud to be part of something that strengthens the wider community."

As part of the new partnership, the Hannay Criminal Defence brand will appear prominently on the lower back of the Titans’ NRL home jersey.
