Before the first whistle blows and before the roar of the crowd crystallises into that spine-tingling buzz only Cbus Super Stadium can conjure, there is a sacred ritual every true Titan must undertake.
The art of selection.

As the Titans Team Picker returns for 2026, handing the reins of destiny to our members and supporters to craft their ultimate Gold Coast starting 17 we start by looking at the bedrock of any fearsome forward pack, the mighty front row.
From the tough carries that set momentum to the hard, often unnoticed work in the middle, this is where games are shaped and contests are decided.
The front row lays the platform, absorbs the pressure and gives the rest of the team the chance to play on the front foot.
Today, it’s not just about picking names on a team sheet, it’s about backing the players you trust to lead the charge from the opening set and set the standard for everything that follows.
So, here are your choices for the starting positions in the front row;
Tino Fa'asuamaleaui
Already one of the top front rowers in the competition, 'Big Tino' has led the Titans pack since joining the club in 2021. Known for his tough go forward big engine and physicality, he is certain to feature in almost every team selected.
Brock Gray
Gray is the forgotten Member of the pack. After a breakout season in 2025 his time in the NRL was cut short due to an ACL injury. As he nears return, the hard-working middle can make a case for Titans fans in their pack.
Jett Liu
Liu, who played in the NSW Cup Grand Final last year, alongside fellow recruit Lachlan Ilias, brings size, mobility, and a readiness to transition into a full-time NRL environment following his time with the Dragons. Currently in his first pre-season with the Titans, he will push for a spot in the top squad.
Josh Patston
More known for his work on the edge, the reigning Titans 'Rookie of the Year' spent time plying his trade through the middle of the field last year. Where coach Hannay, and you, see him best fit is up to you this season.
Kurtis Morrin
Another new recruit to the Titans pack in 2026, Morrin brings a tireless work ethic, aggression and leadership to the middle of the field. With nearly 50 games of NRL experience under his belt at the Bulldogs, will Morrin make your pack?
Moeaki Fotuaika
Fotuaika is often the quiet achiever of the Titans pack, going about his work with minimal fuss. The Maroons forward will become the Titans most all time capped player this season and has been a mainstay in Titans squads in recent years.
Tuki Simpkins
After debuting for the Wests Tigers in 2021, Simpkins career rebirth came to life at the Titans as he donned the Gold Coast colours two times in the 2025 season. The big forwards power running is a key highlight and one many will consider in the mix and balance of their team.
So, whether your heart thunders for brute power or for relentless work-rate, the choice is now yours.
As kick-off approaches, the role of the front row comes into focus, setting the tone for everything your team wants to achieve this season.
