NRL 2026: Titans, Late mail: Liu ruled out as Hannay confirms trial team

Titans coach Josh Hannay has confirmed no changes to his starting line-up for Thursday night's trial against the Dolphins, but he will be missing Jett Liu who has been ruled out with concussion.

Named on the bench, the new recruit suffered a head knock during this week's preparations with Gold Coast medical staff opting to stand the prop forward down for 11 days as a precaution in line with the NRL's head injury protocols.

The remainder of the squad remains as per program with 14 fresh faces to wear Titans colours for the first time, all eager to impress Hannay with Round 1 jerseys up for grabs.

The new Titans coach has opted to rest the likes of AJ Brimson, Phil Sami, Jojo Fifita, Tino Fa'asuamaleaui and Beau Fermor for the Dolphins derby and instead will unleash a full-strength team that also includes the club's All Stars representatives against the Storm on Saturday week.

Kick-off is at 7pm (AEST); live on Fox League and Kayo Sports.
