The Titans have continued to strengthen their long-term future, securing highly rated young fullback Fynn Laffranchi until the end of the 2030 season.
Progressing through Gold Coast’s revamped pathways system, Laffranchi has continued to impress with his work ethic, competitiveness, speed and maturity.
A standout for the Future Titans in their recent match against the Newcastle Knights, the 17-year-old will join in his first NRL pre-season in November, before commencing with the full-time squad ahead of the 2028 season.
Titans director of football Scott Sattler said the club was excited to lock in another talented local product with strong family ties to the organisation.
"Fynn is an exciting young footballer who has a bright future in the game, and I’m excited he wants to follow in his father’s footsteps here at the Titans," he said.
"He’s shown real growth through our pathways and has a strong appetite to learn and improve with his exceptional football IQ.
"The fullback position is an integral component to any side and we need to continue building in those key areas.
"Fynn’s long-term commitment alongside several other pathways products like Zane Harrison, Cooper Bai, Jai Bilish and Viliami Fifita allows us to form a generational playing group that is exciting for the future of our club and region.
"What makes Fynn’s signature even more special is Anthony’s rich history with the club as the inaugural Paul Broughton Medallist in the Titans’ foundation team, and we’re proud to have another Laffranchi continue to wear our colours."
Titans pathways manager Matt Keating said Laffranchi’s development reflects the strength and success of the club’s Future Titans program and retaining local talent.
"Fynn is a terrific example of how our pathways are identifying, nurturing and retaining talented young players to future proof our NRL program," he said.
"He’s dedicated, coachable and consistently sets high standards for himself, which is why he’s going to be a key part of our future.
"We’re excited about his potential and look forward to supporting his continued progression over the coming years as he transitions to becoming a full-time player."
Laffranchi will be part of a raft of Future Titans in Gold Coast's NRL transition program; with Sunny Kama, Bodhi Sharpley, Torino Jackson and Jhett Sydir joining Bilish and Fifita as players who have relished their opportunity to train and trial with the full-time squad over the pre-season.
