Titans rookie Siale Faeamani has been elevated to the club’s top 30 roster as he continues to pursue his NRL dream on the Gold Coast.
Getting his chance to impress on the wing in both recent trials, the 21-year-old’s efforts and attitude during the pre-season and in both matches has put him in contention for a Round 1 debut against the Sharks next Saturday.
Making the move to Queensland after stints at both the Warriors and Panthers development system, Faeamani has relished his time at his new club, hungry to make his NRL debut with the Titans.
"I really wanted to get out of my comfort zone. I don’t regret anything… I’ve really enjoyed my time here since making the move to the Gold Coast," he said.
"It would mean the world to debut, especially for my family with everything they’ve done for me in the past and all the sacrifices they’ve made."
Titans coach Josh Hannay said Faeamani’s elevation is a reward for all his hard-work during the pre-season.
"Siale has shown tremendous growth since joining the club and thoroughly deserves to join our top 30 squad," he said.
"He’s a powerful outside back with a great work ethic and is a much-loved character in our Titans squad.
"He's worked extremely hard over the pre-season and is right in the mix to achieve his NRL dream in Round 1."
