The Titans have continued to add to their top 30 roster with development duo Jensen Taumoepeau and Jett Liu elevated after strong showings during the pre-season.
Loving their time on the Gold Coast after moving north for an opportunity to achieve their NRL dream, both recruits have impressed Josh Hannay over the summer months, leading to their additions to the top squad.
Taumoepeau forms part of the outside back stocks and is also in contention to make his NRL debut, showing his speed and skillset in both pre-season trials; whilst Liu got his opportunity from the bench against the Storm with his size and mobility on full display.
The Titans coach said the pair’s upgrade to the top 30 squad is well deserved.
"Jensen and Jett have shown a continued hunger to better themselves as players over the pre-season and I’m pleased we can elevate them as a reward for their hard work,” Hannay said.
"We’ve wanted to raise the floor of our squad this year and these two have been part of that journey by making the most of their new opportunity, pressing their claims to earn a spot in our Round 1 team.
"Elevations like this aren’t just about talent; they’re about attitude and commitment. Jensen and Jett have demonstrated both in spades."
